An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a document that shows the energy efficiency and carbon emissions of a property. The EPC not only measures the efficiency of the appliances and the overall structure of the property, but it also gives suggestions for improvements and gives a rating on an A-G scale, with A being the most efficient rating.

An EPC is a requirement if a property is being listed to be sold or rented, as prospective buyers/tenants must be able to evaluate a property’s efficiency before buying or renting.
